Zusammen mit der Initiative Klimaneustart Berlin hatte sich Mehr Demokratie für die Durchführung eines losbasierten Beteiligungsverfahrens eingesetzt, das klimapolitische Empfehlungen für das Land Berlin ausarbeiten soll. </span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black'>“Wir freuen uns sehr, dass der Senat beim Schlüsselthema Klima auf die Stadtgesellschaft setzt und dafür einen Bürgerrat ins Leben gerufen hat,” sagt Oliver Wiedmann, Landesvorstandssprecher von Mehr Demokratie Berlin/Brandenburg. “Jetzt muss sichergestellt werden, dass die Empfehlungen des Bürgerrats am Schluss auch berücksichtigt werden.”</span><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black'>Da die Empfehlungen des Bürgerrats keine Verbindlichkeit hätten, sei laut Mehr Demokratie jetzt schon wichtig, den Umgang mit den Empfehlungen zu regeln. Die Empfehlungen könnten im neu gebildeten Klimaausschuss des Senats und in den zuständigen Ausschüssen des Abgeordnetenhauses beraten sowie Vertreter des Klima-Bürgerrats angehört werden.
