In der Weiterbildung geht um den Gebrauch von Archivmaterial in Dokfilmen. Unter der Leitung des Filmhistorikers<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Roland Cosandey<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>treffen eine Film-Rechercheurin und ein Konservator
aufeinander und diskutieren darüber, wie Material für einen Dokfilm gesucht, gefunden und ausgewählt wird und welche Wirkung die Auswahl im Film hat. Im zweiten Teil tritt der Erfinder der sehr interessanten Serien «<a href="https://www.arte.tv/fr/videos/RC-018091/mysteres-d-archives/">Mystères
d’archives</a>» (Verschollene Filmschätze) auf Arte, Serge Viallet, auf und erläutert anhand von konkreten Beispielen seine Methoden. Wie immer werden die französischen Referate und Diskussionen simultan übersetzt.
