hier sind aktuellen Infos zur UN-Erklärung zu Bauern- u.
Bäuerinnen-Rechten im Anhang und in der Email unten. In dieser Woche
tagt die Arbeitsgruppe des Menschenrechtsrats dazu.

Dear all,

As you might already know, the open ended inter-governmental working
group in the UN Human Rights Council on the declaration for peasants'
rights begins today.

At European level, many food sovereignty groups, farmers organisations
and CSOs have been working hard to influence the national position and
demand stronger support.

Activities and events have been taking place in Romania, Belgium,
Germany, Ukraine, Spain, Switzerland etc.

The EU Working Party on Human Rights (COHOM) also discussed the issue on
14th of March 2018.

Last week, the Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Section,
which is part of the European Economical Social Committee, published a
statement in support of the declaration. It is available in all 28 EU
languages:

*Lastly, the organisations following the process have published a new
petition in support of the declaration: *

Over the course of the week, hopefully the member states of the UN Human
Rights Council will try to come to a final agreement on the text of the
declaration.
